The 2010 season sees the European Senior Tour embark on a new initiative with the International Blind Golfers Association as part of its ties with International Sport Promotions Society (ISPS), the charity founded by Dr Haruhisa Handa.

Dr Handa is committed to a number of charitable causes, one of which is the support of blind golf around the world and the collaboration with the Senior Tour will provide a high profile vehicle to support this very worthwhile cause and create a number of fundraising opportunities where European Senior Tour members will participate in various activities showcasing the skills of blind golfers.
ISPS is supporting events in Brunei, Thailand, England and Ireland on the 2010 Senior Tour schedule.

In recognition of the growing ISPS ties, Chairman of ISPS and leading global philanthropist Dr Handa has been made an International Ambassador to the European Senior Tour.

Dr Handa already has a close affiliation with the Japanese Senior Tour through his promotion of the PGA Handa Philanthropy Cup in his native country, which was won by Senior Tour player Ian Woosnam in 2009.
 
As part of the collaboration between the Senior Tour and ISPS, an advisory board has been set up in a bid to advise on the direction and development of Senior Tour events in the Far East. One key element of the agreement will also see the board working in conjunction with the recently-formed European Tour Players Foundation on charitable issues, including raising funds and awareness for the International Blind Golf Association.
