Marc Farry’s long standing association with Mauritius was honoured at the MCB Tour Championship when the Frenchman was made an official ambassador of the island.

Farry has been attached to host venue Constance Belle Mare Plage for more than ten years and has his own academy at the resort.

In recognition of the contribution Farry has made in promoting the Constance group, Mauritius and MCB (Mauritius Commercial Bank), the 52 year old was made an Ambassador for Mauritius by Robert Desvaux, Chairman of Mauritius Tourism Promotion Authority.

The presentation took place on a catamaran after the opening round of the Senior Tour season-finale, where Farry and his wife Isabelle were joined by former Open Champion Tom Lehman, the first round leader, Bill Longmuir, Carl Mason, Mark Mouland, and dignitaries from Constance, MCB and the European Senior Tour.

Farry said: “I’ve been coming to Mauritius for more than a decade and the people from Constance are like family to me so it is a big honour for me to be made an ambassador for this wonderful island.”
