Peter Senior rounded off a solid week with an 11th placed finish in the Senior PGA Championship presented by Kitchenaid as Kohki Idoki enjoyed a fairytale first trip to the USA.

Japan’s Idoki carded a five under par 66 in the final round to snatch the title from Americans Kenny Perry and Jay Haas at Bellerive in his first appearance at the event.

Australian Senior finished as the leading Senior Tour Member after a level par 71 kept him five under for the week.

Germany’s Bernhard Langer was a shot further back after a third straight 67 – the former Masters Tournament champion left to rue an opening 79 that left him playing catch-up in Missouri.

Defending champion Roger Chapman finished with a disappointing 79 to end in a share of 64th.
