Williams claims dramatic victory in Sharjah

Chris Williams secured his second European Senior Tour title after beating Gary Marks in a play-off at the inaugural Sharjah Senior Golf Masters presented by Shurooq.

 Chris Williams with the impressive trophy. However, he won't be lifting it any time soon - it weighs 27kg!

PLAY-OFF! Marks and Williams par the last to finish on 13 under. We will have a play-off on the 18th hole.
All square as Marks and Williams head up the 18th.
Atlevi draws level with Kingston on 12 under par after finishing his five under par round of 67.
With two holes to play, Marks and Williams are still tied at the top on 13 under par. Kingston is one behind on 12 under.
Drama on the home stretch as Kingston finds the water with his drive on 15. He recovers to chip in for birdie to move to 12 under par. Meanwhile Marks makes birdie to draw level with Williams on 13 under par. The pair share the lead.

No change at the top as Williams still leads.

After successive birdies on the 13th and 14th holes, Gary Marks is just one shot behind on 12 under par. Kingston drops to third after a bogey on the 14th.


Kingston with his second birdie of the day on the the par five 13th, the same hole he birdied earlier today from a different tee. He is just one shot behind Williams with five to play.


Pars all-round as our final group heads down the tenth hole. Williams is still leading by two strokes.


Williams leads by two strokes with nine to play in Sharjah

Chris Williams went out in 32, four under par, to take a two shot lead into the final nine holes of the Sharjah Senior Golf Masters.


Williams with successive birdies on the fourth and fifth holes, and the South African follows those with an eagle on the sixth.

He has taken a two shot lead from compatriot KingstonChapman and Marks are ten under par.


It's tight at the top of the leaderboard. Marks draws level on 11 under par after a superb eagle on the par five fourth hole. Kingston and Williams both birdie. Williams is ten under par.
