QUALIFYING
Qualifying for The 2012 Senior Open Championship presented by Rolex takes place on Monday July 23 at three venues: Dundonald Links, Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf Club and Turnberry’s Kintyre Course. A minimum of 24 (total) spots will be available for players competing in the 18 hole qualifier, with the aim of earning a place alongside some of the game’s greatest names for the Championship at Turnberry from July 26-29. They will all be hoping to reproduce the performance of American Pete Oakley in 2004, who came through qualifying before going on to win the Championship at Royal Portrush.
