London Golf Club – the venue of the 2018 Staysure PGA Seniors Championship – will also host the Grand Final of the Staysure PGA Trophy.
The culmination of the national club contest will take place at the Kent venue on Tuesday July 31 and Wednesday August 1 in the build up to the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship, which takes place on August 2-5.
In their maiden year as the first ever title sponsor of The Staysure Tour, the UK's leading travel insurance provider and specialist in the over 50s market have also teamed up with The PGA to create a national club contest – the Staysure PGA Trophy. During the regional finals and Grand Final Staysure will be giving away dozens of prizes to the amateur participants.
The Staysure PGA Trophy is open to both male and female amateur players over the age of 50. It features seven regional finals ahead of the Grand Final at London Golf Club, which previously hosted the European Open in 2008 and 2009, plus the Volvo World Match Play in 2014, as well as the Bendinat London Seniors Masters in 1995 and from 2005-2007.
The Grand Final action will take place at the start of the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship week, when golf’s legends will travel to London Golf Club looking to put their name on the historic trophy, with four days of action starting on Thursday August 2.
