Another strong field is expected to assemble in Lytham for the 33rd edition of Europe's only Senior Major Championship, as The Senior Open returns to Royal Lytham for the first time in 25 years.
Miguel Angel Jiménez will be back to defend the Senior Open Trophy he won in superb style at St Andrews last July, finishing one stroke ahead of ten-time Senior Major winner Bernhard Langer.
The pair will be joined by as many as 30 former Ryder Cup players, nearly a dozen former Captains and countless Major Champions, including debutants Michael Campbell, Darren Clarke, Retief Goosen and Paul Lawrie.
In addition to players who are exempt, a minimum of 24 spots will be contested in the Monday Qualifiers taking place at Fairhaven, Hillside, Southport & Ainsdale and St Annes Old Links.
Entries close on Thursday July 4, 2019.
