Entry forms for the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship at London Golf Club, taking place from August 1-4, are now available.
The field of 90 competitors will be made up of the leading 60 players on the 2018 Staysure Tour, the leading 15 players in the 2019 Senior PGA Professional Championship, not otherwise exempt, and a maximum of three invitations.
The balance of the field will be determined by an 18-hole qualifying round on Monday July 29, taking place on the International Course at London Golf Club during the week of the Championship.
Andrew George and Steve Richardson topped the leaderboard at the qualifying tournament last year, as the pair were two of ten golfers to secure their place at the Staysure PGA Seniors Championship.
Before the Kent club hosted the Championship in 2018, it had previously held the European Open in 2008 and 2009, and the Volvo World Match Play in 2014, in addition to the Bendinat London Seniors Masters in 1995 and from 2005-2007.
Staysure, who became the first title sponsors of the European Senior Tour on January 2, 2018, are title sponsors of the PGA Seniors Championship once again as the event makes its second successive appearance in back-to-back seasons for the first time since 2015.
Philip Golding clinched his fifth Staysure Tour title at last year’s event, recording a final round of 63, nine under par, to come from six shots behind to win by two at London Golf Club.
David MacLaren, Head of the Staysure Tour, said: “This event has great history and prestige and it was brilliant to see it return to our schedule last year. We are delighted to have London Golf Club, a member of European Tour Destinations’ network of world-class properties, hosting the event once again after their sterling effort last year – an event everyone really enjoyed.
“This event is a gold symbol of our partnership with the PGA, and we look forward to seeing their members tee it up alongside their Staysure Tour counterparts across what promises to be a thrilling week on our schedule.
“I also wish to thank Staysure for their continued support in developing the Championship, since it returned to our International Schedule last year.”
