A welcome from Jamie Hodges

It is my privilege to welcome you to the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A at the magnificent T Golf & Country Club.

I must start by thanking our long-standing partner, Rolex. The Challenge Tour has enjoyed a long and fruitful partnership with Rolex and we were both honoured and excited at the opportunity to grow our relationship into Title Sponsorship of our season-ending event. The Grand Final is, and always has been, the pinnacle of our season and I am delighted to welcome Rolex’s further commitment to the future champions of the game.

We are also proud to introduce this year The R&A as Supporting Partner to the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final. The Challenge Tour has enjoyed a long-term relationship with The R&A who recognise the Challenge Tour’s critical role in the golfing eco system, aiding the transition from elite amateur to the professional game. To have the support of both The R&A and Rolex, two of the most prestigious and recognised organisations within world golf, is a testament to the strength and depth of talent on this Tour and on behalf of all the Challenge Tour Members, we thank them both for their continued partnership.

This year we have held 26 events and visited 15 countries around the world, an achievement of which I would like to thank all the sponsors, promoters and national federations with whom we work with. One of the most pleasing aspects of this year’s Road to Mallorca season is our ability to offer 20 graduation spots to our members and I’m sure we will all enjoy watching the drama unfold over the four tournament days, as the players battle for the prizes they all started the year hoping to achieve.

A sincere and heartfelt thank you must go to Bernardino Jaume Mulet and the Federación Balear de Golf for their nonwavering support and commitment to the Challenge Tour. We are now into the third year of our partnership and we believe the Road to Mallorca now has a clear identity within the world of golf and we hope to continue working together for many years to come.

Finally, my thanks go to Heiner Tamsen, and his team here at T Golf for their determination to present the venue in such excellent condition, as well as to all the club staff, greenkeepers and volunteers for helping us run the event so smoothly.

I hope you all enjoy a wonderful week of golf here at T Golf & Country Club.

Best wishes,

Jamie Hodges
