Challenge Tour Grand Final: In numbers 

We crunched the numbers ahead of this week’s Challenge Tour Grand Final to bring you the important facts and figures before the action gets under way.

There is one previous winner of the event in the field. Portugal’s Ricardo Gouveia won the NBO Golf Classic Grand Final in 2015 on his way to becoming the Challenge Tour Number One.

This is the second time the European Challenge Tour has visited Mallorca for its season-ending event. Last year, the top 45 players competed at Club de Golf Alcanada, where Francesco Laporta won both the event and the Rankings, and this week we’re being hosted by the wonderful T Golf & Country Club.

Roig, the Official Hire Car of the 2020 Challenge Tour Grand Final, are offering seven days premium car rental for the first player to ace the par three sixth hole at T Golf. The 188-yard par three is the first of two opportunities for players to win a prize this week.

There are ten Englishmen in the field this week, the most from any country.

In total, 17 countries are represented in this year’s Grand Final. They are: Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, England, Finland, France, Germany, Iceland, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, USA and Wales.

Spain’s Alfredo Garcia-Heredia secured a spot in this week’s field by finishing in a tie for second place at last week’s Andalucía Challenge de Cádiz and subsequently leading 142 places on the Road to Mallorca Rankings from 184th to 42nd.

62,000

The winner of this week’s event will pick up a cheque for a cool 62,000 Euros and the equivalent in Rankings points on the Road to Mallorca.

1,000,000

The second of our two hole-in-one prizes this week has been donated by Melia Hotels International, the Official Hotel of the 2020 Challenge Tour Grand Final. The first player to ace the 201-yard par three ninth hole will earn 1,000,000 loyalty points with the group to spend on a stay in one of their worldwide resorts.
