Hurly Long secured DP World Tour playing rights for the 2022 season courtesy of a solid season on the Challenge Tour with six top ten finishes, including a second place at the Challenge de Cádiz.

The 26-year-old demonstrated his consistency, only missing four cuts in 22 Challenge Tour appearances and finished in 17th place on the Road to Mallorca Rankings despite a poor showing at the Rolex Challenge Tour Grand Final supported by The R&A, where he finished in 43rd position.

The German has proven his ability to perform under pressure, picking up a first Challenge Tour victory at the 2020 Italian Challenge after defeating Englishman Matt Ford in the second play-off hole and he represented Germany alongside Max Kieffer in the 2020 Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo. Long will now be looking to use a combination of those experiences and his impressive Challenge Tour season as fuel for success on the 2022 DP World Tour.

Long had a strong amateur career, whilst attending Texas Tech University he won the 2017 Carmel Cup at Pebble Beach and has represented Germany in three Eisenhower Trophy tournaments; 2014, 2016 and 2018.
