The Frenchman defeated South African Ruan Conradie in a play-off at Zebula Golf Estate, to climb 19 places to fourth position on the Rankings, while Conradie moves to eighth.

JC Ritchie still tops the Rankings following back-to-back victories on home soil at the Bain’s Whisky Cape Town Open and the Jonsson Workwear Open, and the South African added to his points tally after a tied seventh finish at the SDC Open.

The 28-year-old has 89,866 Rankings points, 31,125 points ahead of Germany’s Alexander Knappe, who sits in second place. The German secured victory at the season-opening Dimension Data Pro-Am and is 7,633 points ahead of Belgium’s Christopher Mivis, who is third on the Rankings following back-to-back runner-up finishes to Ritchie in Cape Town and Durban.

Sordet occupies fourth position on the Rankings on 44,198 points following victory in Limpopo, 6,454 points ahead of Denmark’s Oliver Hundebøll who picked up his maiden Challenge Tour victory at the Mangaung Open in Bloemfontein.
