Aaron Baddeley’s prodigious length from the tee helped the Australian secure the MasterCard Masters title over his course, the magnificent Huntingdale Golf Club in Melbourne. The 26 year old’s powerhouse performance to take the Gold Jacket and €164,170 top prize was based on his power and accuracy from the tee.
With an average of 311 yards from the tee, Baddeley was third in the Genworth Financial Statistics Driving Distance Category. Not only was Baddeley long off the tee, but his Driving Accuracy percentage of 62.50 gave the Australian the opportunity to compile his stroke average of 68.80, which took him into that memorable four hole sudden-death play-off with Sweden’s Daniel Chopra.
