Two-time Abu Dhabi Golf Championship winner and current World Number Eight, Paul Casey, took time out from Abu Dhabi Golf Club’s practice range to try out the event’s dedicated iPhone application.
Designed in partnership with Platinum Sponsor and Official Telecommunications Provider Etisalat, the Abu Dhabi Golf Championship iPhone application can be downloaded via iTunes by searching the keywords ‘Abu Dhabi Golf Championship’. It is filled with useful tournament information including up-to-date news from the Championship, live scores updated by the minute, player profiles and a course map with a 3D fly-through of each hole.
In addition, a two-minute video highlights package of each day will be delivered through the application after each daily round during the Championship at Abu Dhabi Golf Club.
To mark the occasion, Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA), which is behind the event, is offering the first 300 fans to download the application a free any-day complimentary ticket to the 2010 Championship, which features 126 of the world’s top players, including 10 of the top 25.
To qualify for the tickets, all fans need to do, once they’ve downloaded the application, is send an email to
