Spain's Miguel Angel Jiménez claimed his third trophy in eleven starts on the European Tour in 2004, after a stunning final round of 67 ensured a three shot victory over England's Simon Dyson. Jiménez's victory elevates him in to second place on the Volvo Order of Merit, and earned his fans 210,349 fantasy points for this event.

Local favourite, Lian-Wei Zhang produced his best performance of the year in Shanghai, completing a solid week of golf in a share for fifth place, and earning 45,183 fantasy points for his fans as the top pick from Pool B. There were no entries at the BMW Asian Open from the Fantasy Pool D section, leaving a fine performance by Frenchman Jean Francois Luquin, runner-up on the 2002 Challenge Tour, as the top pick from Pool E. A tie for eighth place was the Frenchman's fourth top ten on the European Tour and earned his fans 29,912 fantasy points.
