Espen Kofstad converted one eagle and seven birdies against two bogeys on his way to a superb first round 64, to lead by two. Looking at his Genworth Statistics, the 26 year old golfer from Norway looked solid from tee to green, hitting 11/13 fairways and 17 Greens in Regulation (more than any other player). Highlights of the round included three birdies on the Par 3 holes and holed bunker shot at his final hole. Espen currently sits in 149th position on the Race to Dubai so a big week would go a long way towards securing his full playing rights for next season.
