Australia’s Nathan Green leads the Valero Texas open after an opening 62 at The Resort Course at La Cantera Golf Club, San Antonio, Texas.
The European Tour Member is eight under par, two shots ahead of Olin Browne and Paul Claxton.
Another Australian European Tour Member going well is Nick O’Hern, who is in a tie for fourth after a five under 65.
Green picked up his first shot at the par four fourth before an incredible run of five consecutive birdies from the sixth to the tenth.
Further birdies followed at the 13th, 14th and 16th although he did drop a shot at the 17th.
