South Africa’s Trevor Immelman fired an excellent third round of six under par 64 to join his fellow European Tour Member Adam Scott of Australia atop the leaderboard of the US PGA Tour’s EDS Byron Nelson Championship.
Immelman, who lost out in a play-off to Jim Furyk of the USA at last week’s Wachiova Championship, was in blistering form at TPC Las Colinas, putting together six birdies and 12 pars to join Scott on 11 under par 199 going into the final round.
Scott, who has led since the first round, posted a third round of one under 69 after a disappointing back nine that included three bogeys.
England’s Luke Donald is five shots off the pace, with South Africa’s Ernie Els a further stroke back.
