Ross McGowan’s pinpoint precision with his irons paved the way for his maiden European Tour title at the Madrid Masters.
The Englishman, who finished on 25 under par to win by three strokes, came second in Genworth Financial Statistics’ Greens in Regulation category after finding 88.9% of greens across the four days at Golf Centro Nacional de Golf.
On an extraordinary third day, when he signed for a round of 60, McGowan finished in the top ten in five of the six categories, including first in Putts Per Greens in Regulation and third in Putts Per Round.
