Louis Oosthuizen continued to dominate the Sunshine Tour’s Platinum Classic with a second round of one under par 71 in torrential rain and driving winds at the Mooinooi Golf Club.
European Tour Member Oosthuizen is two clear of Brazil's Adilson da Silva and rookie Jbe’ Kruger of Bloemfontein, whose putter let him down on the 18th hole where he made bogey for a score of two under 70.
Warren Abery, a five time Sunshine Tour winner and European Tour Member, got to eight under with two to play, but his second round was thwarted by two wayward tee shots at the closing holes penalised by back to back bogeys. Abery shares fourth position alongside Grant Muller.
