#1 - Asia's first Master's Champion
This poignant image of Rory McIlroy of Europe was taken on the morning of the Sunday Singles. The team was very much against the ropes going into the final day, and the image of the talisman alone with his thoughts - preparing to defend the Ryder Cup for me just being there - shooting on a silent camera, was quite the experience.

#2 - Asia's first Master's Champion
Hideki Matsuyama wins the Green Jacket and becomes the first Major Champion from Japan. The tournament concluded with a gracious bow to the course from Hideki's caddie to Augusta National and stole the hearts of golf fans across the globe.
#3 - The Champion Golfer of the Year
As Collin Morikawa tapped in to secure victory on a beautiful day at Royal St George's, I just had time to firstly shoot the moment of victory on a long lens and then quickly switch to shoot this frame him waving to the crowd on a wider lens and show the thousands of fans and the iconic yellow leaderboard.

#4 - If at first you don't succeed, try, try again
Richard Bland claimed his first European Tour title at the 478th attempt and I feel his expression here at the moment of victory shows him processing the enormity of it all and that it had really happened....

#5 - The first
Jon Rahm wins hiss first Major Championship at Torrey Pines. His birdie-birdie finish gave us one of the best celebrations of the season.
#6 - Lefty makes history
Phil Mickelson becomes the oldest winner of a Major Championship after winning the USPGA at Kiawah Island's Ocean Course.
#7 - Mind your step
This image of Rory McIlroy crossing the creek on the 18th hole during the DP World Tour Championship is a different image showing his athleticism taking the direct line to the green after taking a drop nearby. I had every faith he would make it over..

#8 - Under the sun
I found this image I shot of Sean Crocker of the USA during the Tenerife Open to be very visually stunning. Golf Costa Adeje is a very beautiful course and was happy to be back after 18 years since my previous European Tour event. The 10th tee was moved forward just for one day which was lucky!

#9 - Rookies
The back drop of Lake Michigan was always going to provide some nice images, I used the position of the sun, as it was bouncing off the water to silhouette Viktor and Bernd fist bumping after winning a hole.

#10 - Rory on the links
Royal St George's is full of long grass and thick patches of rushes. I noticed a nice spot where the sun was in a good position to try and take a silhouette of Rory McIlroy teeing off the 9th. I lay down flat in the reeds and thankfully he tee'd up in a nice position to make the photo work.

#11 - Smiling Shinkwin
Callum Shinkwin had just airmailed the first green at the Fairmont St Andrews and, after playing his recovery shot, took the direct route back by slinging his leg over an ancient stone wall. Not all golfers would welcome a photographer being there to capture it on a wide-angle lens but Callum is one of life's smiley people and fortunately saw the funny side!

#12 - Taking a swipe
A very windy day at Wentworth saw a lot of very short tee shots off the 4th, Sam didn’t make the fairway, so was nice to capture the grass flying up as he pirouetted.

#13 - Vantage Point
On Day Three of The Open, I had about half an hour free on the course. The Editorial Team Lead Andy Redington suggested over the radio it may be a good idea to spend some time down at the 6th hole par 3 and see if I could make something work for the feature groups, as the hill behind was full with people during this time. Dustin Johnson's ball landed in a good position to get him and the large crowd behind into the same photo.
#14 - The first tee
The first tee of the first round of Ryder Cup matches is very special...and with such a delay in these matches being played and chaos to golf events worldwide effected by the pandemic, it really felt like a celebration of golf that morning. I was in position before sun rise to secure my spot, and even at that time in the morning the music was blasting and you could just make out people illuminated by small floodlights, racing across the first fairway, to secure their positions on the first tee as the gates opened. As the sunrise eventually came signifying time of the opening tee shot - the noise was incredible, and I feel this image captures a feeling of that morning atmosphere.

#15 - Masked surprise
Masks have thrown up a few funny images, every player was taking a second look at this marshal at The Belfry during the Betfred British Masters.

#16 - The perfect shot
An amazing moment when Garrick Higgo made a hole-in-one on the spectacular 7th hole whilst leading the tournament during the final round of the Canary Islands Championship. An unbelievable final round 64 featuring an ace.

#17 - Sun peeping through
I really like this silhouette of Mikko Korhonen as he warms up on the range ahead of the Portugal Masters. It took as fair bit of rolling around on the floor working the angles before the sun got too high, and some confidence in the competitors around me hitting over my head!

#18 - Best view in the house
At the Earth Course in Dubai for the season ending event, the 12th tee is incredibly close to some residential houses. I spotted this man enjoying a cigar on a high chair watching some of the worlds best tee it up, right from his back garden. Tommy Fleetwood had just teed off and was making his way off the tee box, as I tried to line the two up.

#19 - Adam Scott at Wentworth
Wentworth is so much better with the crowds back, and having Adam Scott playing was always going to have a big following. Adam had been a bit errant off the 15th tee and the crowd surrounded him as he played a magnificent shot into the green from the vast trees across the West Course.

#20 - Kawamura Splash Shot
This is one of those lucky mistake moments where I would normally have liked to have been head-on for Masahiro Kawamura playing his bunker shot but knew I wasn't going to get there in time aargh! So I just had to shoot it from some distance on a long lens...and fortunately the contrast of the golden sand and the jet black background made for a nice image.
