Volvo Masters of Asia looks set to go to the Wire

European Tour Member Jyoti Randhawa of India remains in contention for the Volvo Masters of Asia title after a third round 74 left him three shots off the pace at the Koia Permai Country in Kuala Lumpur.

Randhawa trails Thailand’’s Prayad Marksaeng and Wang Ter-cheng of Chinese Tapaei by three strokes going into the final round.

Marksaeng and Ter-cheng carded respective third round scores of 67 and 69 to lead the way on 12 under par 204, with Chawalit Plaphol of Thailand in third place on ten under par.

European Tour Member Thongchai Jaidee of Thailand – the defending Volvo Masters of Asia champion – is in a tie for tenth place on six under par after his own third round of 68.

Jaidee can win the Asian Tour’’s Order of Merit this weekend by staying ahead of Scotland’’s Simon Yates, and the 35 year old Carlsberg Malaysian Open champion is hopeful of doing just that after a marked improvement in his third round.

“I'm a bit behind the leaders but I'm still hopeful of a good round tomorrow as I'm swinging the club nicely. It's good that I'm ahead of Simon in the Order of Merit race."
