Anthony Wall birdied five holes in succession as The European Open second round got under way to join Anders Hansen at the top of the leaderboard.
The Englishman, who hails from London, dropped a shot at the par three 11th for the second day running after starting on the tenth tee, but then picked up shots at the next five holes to reach the turn four under for the day and got to eight under for the tournament.
Hansen led overnight after his seven under par opening 65 and picked up a bogey at the first to remain well placed through five holes.
Germany’s Marcel Siem and England’s Sam Little also made good starts to reach seven under during the early exchanges.
Thomas Aiken and Peter Hanson – who signed for rounds of 66 on day one – were yet to tee off, but they had been joined by Madeira Islands BPI - Portugal winner Tano Goya, France’s Michael Lorenzo-Vera and Christian Cévaër and India’s Jyoti Randhawa.
