With This Win... Henrik Stenson – Dubai Desert Classic

With this win Henrik Stenson secured his fifth European Tour International Schedule victory in his 161st   European Tour event as a professional. It was the first time he has won on The European Tour in consecutive seasons and Stenson becomes only the second player to win the Dubai Desert Classic and The Commercialbank Qatar Masters, following Ernie Els.

• The seventh consecutive top ten finish in European Tour events played in the Gulf, dating back to the 2005 Qatar Masters. Of those seven, he won The Commercialbank Qatar Masters in 2006 and been second twice

• Has won three of his last 25 European Tour events, dating back to The Commercialbank Qatar Masters in 2006

• Second consecutive top seven finish in the Dubai Desert Classic

• First Swedish victory of The 2007 European Tour International Schedule

• Continued the record of consecutive wining  Swedish years on The European Tour to 19, dating back to 1989

• The 16th different player to win the Dubai Desert Classic from the 18 times the event has been played

• The first Swede to win the Dubai Desert Classic and the 11th different nation to triumph

• His eighth   world-wide win as a professional
