Tiger Woods fired a seven under par 65, equalling the tournament record, to capture his fourth successive PGA Grand Slam of Golf title with a three shot victory over David Toms at the Poipu Bay Golf Club in Hawaii.
Woods, the Masters Champion, finished the 36-hole event for the winners of the four Major championships, at 12 under par on 132.
Retief Goosen, the US Open Champion and winner of the Volvo Order of Merit, shot a closing one under 71 to finish third - five shots behind Woods.
Open Champion David Duval had another disappointing round and finished 16 shots behind Woods at four over par on 148.
Woods won $400,000 from the $1 million purse. US PGA Champion Toms received $250,000 while Goosen captured $200,000.
Woods broke the tournament record of 11 under par set by Ernie Els in 1997 and also broke Greg Norman’’s record for the number of victories.
Goosen shot a 66 to take a one-stroke lead over Woods after the first round. But four bogeys on the back nine in the final round hurt his chances of beating Woods.
"I made a couple birdies coming in, but bogeys on the 16th and 17th , and the missed short putt on the 14th -- that really cost my chances of putting any pressure on Tiger," Goosen said.
Woods will join Norman, Colin Montgomerie and Jesper Parnevik in the Skins Game this weekend in Indio, California.
