A weekly wrap up from each event in the UK Swing. Episode Three – English Championship
The Golf for Good Show returns for its third edition as the UK Swing visited Hanbury Manor Marriott Hotel and Country Club.
On what was a sweltering week in the UK, Andy Sullivan posted a European Tour record 27 under par to win by seven shots. This win was Sullivan’s first since the 2015 Portugal Masters and emotions were high as he joined a video call with his wife and step daughter after sinking the final putt of a record breaking week.
2018 Ryder Cup Captain Thomas Bjorn announced this week that he would be walking from European Tour HW at Wentworth to Celtic Manor in just four days. The 210 kilometer walk is in aid of raising money for Unicef UK’s Save the Generation Covid appeal and the Golf Foundation as a part of the #GolfForGood initiative.

Our local Hero this week was NHS Paramedic and avid golfer Wayne Duke, who was surprised on a video call with none other than Tommy Fleetwood, to thank him for his hard work and dedication to his community during these troubled times.
