Dustin Johnson won his sixth World Golf Championship at the WGC-Mexico Championship, doing so in style with a five shot victory.
This was the American’s third triumph at this event and is still the only player to have won all four World Golf Championships. The only player to have won more Word Golf Championships is Tiger Woods (18).
Although famed for his long hitting off the tee, it was the American’s approach play that saw him cruise to victory in Mexico. Johnson led the strokes gained GIR category, hitting 80.56% of greens across the four days. His short game was also impressive, finishing second in the scrambling strokes gained category, getting up and down 85.72% of the time.
