Returns to The European Tour in 2013 after taking fifth place in the 2012 Challenge Tour Rankings, thanks largely to finishing second in the dual-ranking Saint-Omer Open presented by Neuflize OBC. Had five other top tens in a consistent season to bounce back having lost his European Tour card in 2010. Has switched between the two tours since his first season as a professional in 2006, which culminated in 18th place in the Challenge Tour Rankings. Lost his playing privileges in 2007, coming 144th in the Order of Merit, but returned in 2008 after winning the lucrative Kazakhstan Open that year. Retained his card at the second time of asking, thanks in no small measure to two top tens in the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship and the Madrid Masters in successive weeks towards the end of the 2009 season. Started playing at the age of eight with his father. Progressed from county level to national teams as an amateur and was then given invaluable support from Sport England and the England Golf as he moved up through the amateur ranks. Lists his coach, Paul Jenkinson, as one of the biggest influences of his career.
