Enjoyed his best season to date on the Senior Tour in 2011, recording three top ten finishes to end the year in 35th position on the Order of Merit – an improvement of 25 positions on 2010. His share of sixth place in the Mauritius Commercial Bank Open equalled his previous best performance on the Senior Tour at the 2010 Matrix Jersey Classic. Had secured his playing rights by finishing ninth at Qualifying School, although was disappointed not to gain full playing rights after opening with rounds of 68 and 69 in Portugal. After years of barely playing golf, rediscovered the game and turned professional in 2007 at the age of 50, going on to play on the US Champions Tour. Played very little golf between the age of 25 and 45 due to work and family commitments which left him unable to play at the competitive level he enjoyed.
