    Won more than US$10million in a single day in September 2010 when he won the Tour Championship and with it the FedEx Cup. With two other wins that season he was voted the PGA of America Player of the Year and PGA Tour Player of the Year.

    Holed the winning putt at The 2008 Ryder Cup to secure America’s first victory in the competition since 1999, but could only manage half a point from three at Celtic Manor Resort as the Americans were beaten 14½-13½.

    Also suffered defeat at the ‘Miracle of Medinah’ as the European team staged an impressive comeback to win, and again at Gleneagles two years later.

    Achieved Major Championship success when he won the 2003 U.S. Open at Olympia Fields Country Club in Illinois.

    Taught by his father, Mike, his only coach, who was on hand to witness his emotional U.S. Open victory on Fathers’ Day. Possesses one of the most unorthodox swings in world golf, but it has proved effective as demonstrated by his record of 17 PGA Tour victories.

    Shot the first official 58 in PGA Tour history in the final round of the 2016 Travelers Championship.

    Captained the US Ryder Cup team at Le Golf National in 2018.

    Has won three times on PGA TOUR Champions, including his first Senior Major at the 2021 U.S. Senior Open.
