    Has five Challenge Tour victories to his name, including the Vierumäki Finnish Challenge in 2019 and twice in 2004, one of which was the the dual-ranking St Omer Open, which earned him a European Tour exemption.

    Has finished runner-up on the European Tour twice since, re-qualified for the European Tour in second place twice – in 2009 and 2013.

    French by birth before adopting his parents' Portuguese nationality, he grew up playing golf at Saint-Nom-La-Bretèche, where his father worked.

    Represented France at every level, and during the winter of 2000 he teamed up with coach Benoit Willemart, a partnership which resulted in him becoming the top-ranked French amateur at the end of 2001.
