    Meet Kevin

    IRL

Cassidy started to play aged nine with friends on his local housing estate in Northern Ireland.

He was inspired by local professional Paul Leonard, who came 12th at The Open in 1975.

A traffic accident in 2012 led to Cassidy having his right leg amputated below the knee two years later.

The 48-year-old thanks his family and friends for encouraging him back into golf and his club professional Stefan Ackermann for helping him build a successful new swing.

He finished with a Net second place in EDGA’s Amendoeira tournament in Portugal in January 2023 and third place at the 2023 Irish Open for Golfers with a Disability at Roganstown, which helped him enter the top 20 of the Net World Ranking.
