- Championship Round 3 - Leading 70 players and those tied for 70th place tee off from approximately 08:00

- Championship Round 4 - Leading 70 players (and ties) tee off from approximately 08:00

Tournament format
The Championship will be a 72-hole stroke play event with 18 holes being played each day. A field of 144 competitors will be eligible to play in the Championship. The field shall include all exempt and qualified Amateurs. Players not qualified under any of the exempt categories listed under section 4 will be required to play an 18-hole stroke play qualifying round on Monday 22 July 2019.
The field will play one round on each of the first two days, after which the leading 70 players (and those who tie for 70th place) will go forward to the third and fourth rounds.
In the event of a tie for the first place there will be a hole-by-hole play-off
Prize fund
The prize fund is $2,000,000 with the winner receiving $268,814. The leading Professional aged 60 years or over and completing 72 holes receives The Fred Daly Award (UK£3,000).
The winner of the 2018 Senior Open is Miguel Angel Jiménez with a final round of 69 for a 12-under-par total of 276.
Prize giving
The Prize Giving will be held on the 18th green upon the conclusion of play
(approximately 19:00) on Sunday 28 July.
