Vedbæk, Denmark — Six rounds down, one to go. Season 2 of the NEXT Golf Tour is building toward a dramatic finish as the top 100 players on the Order of Merit square off in the Season Finale at The Concession Golf Club.

The event features a purse of $100,000, with payouts to the top 10 finishers, including $30,000 for the winner. But the ultimate prizes will go to the overall NEXT Golf Tour champion, who receives three Challenge Tour wild cards and a spot in a DP World Tour event this summer, along with a $15,000 bonus for topping the OOM.

American Nick Carlson, fresh off a victory in the penultimate round, entered the finale as the leader on the OOM, with $50,811 in earnings. He was followed closely by Denmark’s Jonathan Gøth-Rasmussen ($50,423) and American Jordan Weber ($45,319).

All of the top 10 players on the OOM entering the finale still had a chance to win the championship. Several of those players completed their rounds early in the nine-day window, including Denmark’s Christian Jacobsen, who shot a six-under 66 to take the lead. Gøth-Rasmussen and Carlson both finished at -3, while Oliver Lilliedahl of Sweden shot even par.

The top female performer of Season 2, Sweden’s Emma Thorngren, shot 72 in the finale to lock up the ANNIKA WAPT Wildcard, which includes membership to the U.S.-based tour plus three entries to events during the 2024 season.

With roughly half the field and six of the top 10 yet to complete their rounds, the race for both the finale and the OOM are far from settled. The NEXT Golf Tour will count down to the finish with a two-hour live event on Championship Saturday, March 16. NEXT Golf Show hosts Rachel Drummond and Doug Smith — along with some special guests — will be following the action on YouTube beginning at 18:00 CET (1 pm ET in the US).

The first six rounds of the NEXT Golf Tour Season 2 included 1,545 players from 55 countries. The average score was 74.5, and players earned $1,119,800 so far.
