This week European Tour Weekly travels to Fanling for the UBS Hong Kong Open, the final event before the start of the Final Series. This year’s 57th staging of the event will feature some of the best American and European players in the world, with the likes of Justin Rose, Dustin Johnson, Graeme McDowell and Patrick Reed teeing up at Hong Kong Golf Club and ETW will be on the range with the thoughts of the players ahead of the event.
European Tour Weekly recently met up with Graeme McDowell who is playing in the UBS Hong Kong Open for the first time in five years. McDowell has endured a frustrating season so far on The European Tour having only missed one cut; he has finished in the top ten on just one occasion but will be hoping for a better week in an event where he finished 5th in his last appearance.
Our review this week is from the Portugal Masters and ETW will bring you highlights of the action from the Oceanico Victoria Golf Club. Playing in his home event was Ricardo Gouveia who has set The Challenge Tour alight this season with one victory and a further nine top ten finishes. ETW spoke to Gouveia who currently sits second on The Road to Oman Rankings and is guaranteed a card for the 2016 European Tour season.
In a special feature ETW takes a look ahead at the climax to The Race to Dubai, The European Tour’s Final Series. It starts with next week’s Turkish Airlines Open, followed by the WGC HSBC Champions, the BMW Masters and then the 4-week extravaganza ends in Dubai with the DP World Tour Championship.
Together with all of the latest news and statistics from the Tour, this completes another edition of European Tour Weekly.
