A dedicated member of the Tour's Board of Directors, John continues to help shape the opportunities and incentives on the European Tour. Took up golf at the age of 12 when on a family holiday to Butlins in County Neath and became hooked on the game, spending the summers on the golf course. Before long, at the age of 15, he was down to scratch. Decided to turn professional in 1970 and went to America for six months, managed by John Jacobs until "J.J." took up his post as the first Director General of the PGA European Tour. In his time as O'Leary's manager, John Jacobs never charged a penny for his services. Now professional at The Buckinghamshire. Hoping to make a playing comeback this year.
