Claimed the tenth card on offer at the 2014 Qualifying School Final Stage, which sees him tee it up on The European Tour once again after a year away. Spent the majority of 2014 on the Asian Tour having lost his card in Europe at the end of the previous season, having had to put in a gutsy performance only a year prior in his last event of 2012, the UBS Hong Kong Open, to finish 118th place in The Race to Dubai and claim the second-last exempt spot. Missed 11 consecutive cuts in the summer that season, but took a share of 16th place at the Portugal Masters to spark a late run of form. Took up Affiliate Membership of The European Tour the week before the Avantha Masters in New Delhi and prospered immediately to claim a maiden title in his first start of 2010. Enjoyed a successful 2009 season on the Asian Tour, finishing 15th in the Order of Merit. Started playing golf aged four when his father took him to Gatton Golf Club in Brisbane, which was next door to the family home. Was runner-up at the New Zealand Amateur Open Championship in 2006 and went one better at the 2007 Australian Amateur Stroke Play Championship, which earned him a spot in the 2007 MFS Australian Open at The Australian Golf Club in December, after which he turned professional.
