The avid Manchester United supporter made a steady climb to The European Tour via three seasons on the Challenge Tour, finishing 61st in the 2010 Rankings and 47th in 2011 before taking the 21st and final card on offer in 2012. Enjoyed a consistent season which yielded eight top 20 finishes and five top tens. Almost won his maiden title at the Kärnten Golf Open presented by Mazda, but lost out to Gary Stal in an enthralling final day battle. Played three seasons on the Europro Tour after turning professional, winning in 2009 on the way to a third place finish in the Order of Merit. Was introduced to the game at the age of nine by his father, a single-figure handicapper. Benefitted in his early career when his aunt married a teaching professional, who now works at Mill Hill Golf Club, where Brooks learned his trade.
