Back on The European Tour for the first time since 1999 having successful progressed through the 2007 Qualifying School - Final Stage in second place at San Roque Club. It has been a long road back from 1999, the year he won the Madeira Islands Open by a stroke from Mark James. A wrist injury caused him to miss most of the 2000 season and, after a few years playing on the Challenge Tour, it was eight years before he returned. Born of American parents in Las Palmas, capital of the Canary Islands, spent his early years as a professional playing mini-tour events in the USA. Father is from Brooklyn, New York. Turned professional in 1982 and spent five years between 1989 and 1993 as an assistant professional in New Jersey. Had missed out on card in Qualifying School in 1986 but returned in 1993 and was successful for the first time. Took out Spanish citizenship in the eighties.
