Padraig Harrington and Graeme McDowell will join Darren Clarke and Paul McGinley in a strong Irish contingent competing in the Quinn Direct British Masters at The De Vere Belfry.
Harrington, ranked 24 in the world, and McDowell, 72nd in the Official World Golf Ranking, have announced their entry for the first European Tour event of the season to be played on British soil.
“I’m really looking forward to the tournament,” said Harrington. “The competition is tough, but I am playing my way into some pretty good form this season , so I hope have a good week at The De Vere Belfry.”

Also announcing his participation is Northern Ireland rising star, McDowell. The 27 year old, who finished 16th at last year’s event, hopes to improve on last year’s result: “I’m working hard on my game and relish the challenge that lies ahead - it promises to be an exciting tournament.”
The Quinn Direct British Masters will take place from May 11-14 at The De Vere Belfry at Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield, host to The Ryder Cup on four occasions. This event will see the return of top level European Tour golf to the venue along with many of its biggest stars.
