• Baldovino Dassu made history when he became the first player to shoot 60 at the 1971 Swiss Open. Since then a further 11 players have recorded official rounds of 60.
• One of those 11 players was Jamie Spence, who won the 1992 European Masters. Beginning the final round ten shots behind the third round leader, Colin Montgomerie, Spence compiled a 12 under par score of 60, to tie Anders Forsbrand after 72 holes, before winning at the second extra play-off hole.
• Crans-sur-Sierre is celebrating its centenary this year. The Club has hosted the European Masters since 1939.
