A record number of 33 European Tour Members have been invited to play in the 2007 Masters Tournament and for six of them it will be their first taste of the unique atmosphere at Augusta National Golf Club for the year’s first Major Championship from April 5-8.

Bradley Dredge of Wales, Johan Edfors of Sweden, Kenneth Ferrie of England, Robert Karlsson of Sweden, Jeev Milkha Singh of India and Y E Yang of Korea can all look forward to making their Masters debuts.

In total, Augusta National Golf Club has announced a list of 100 invitees that includes 33 from The European Tour – two more than the previous record set in 2006. Among the field are five amateurs and 18 first-timers.
Dredge, Edfors, Karlsson and Singh, who between them won a total of seven titles on The 2006 European Tour International Schedule, and Yang, who captured the first event of the 2007 Schedule, the HSBC Champions, all secured their invites courtesy of finishing 2006 inside the top 50 on the Official World Golf Ranking.

Meanwhile, Ferrie booked his place by finishing tied sixth on his US Open debut at Winged Foot last June.
