Boonchu Ruangkit continued to roll back the years with a brilliant third round 65 at the Avantha Masters.

The 56 year old, who won The Senior Tour Order of Merit in 2010, moved to 11 under for the week with five birdies and an eagle two at the sixth.

While the Thai golfer starts the final round seven shots adrift of Thomas Aiken in a share of 12th, Ruangkit does have a chance to better his best ever European Tour finish of fourth at the 2004 Johnnie Walker Classic.

Ruangkit made a flying start to his third round, birdieing the first, second and fifth before holing his approach at the next.

Having turned in 31, he added further birdies at the tenth and 16th to complete a bogey-free effort.
