Sergio Garcia 

- His 15th European Tour International Schedule victory in his 277th official European Tour event

- His third victory at this event, following his first win in 2011

- His last European Tour win was at this event in 2017, and was the last of three victories that season, following the Omega Dubai Desert Classic and Masters Tournament

- Has four top tens so far this season, with a best previous finish of T7 at the WGC-Mexico Championship and Portugal Masters 

- Moves to 1,186,138 Race to Dubai points and as high as 25th position, up from 41st 

- Moves as high as 27th on the Official World Golf Ranking, up from 31st  

- His seventh European Tour victory on Spanish soil, after the 2002 Open de España, the 2004 Mallorca Classic, the 2008 and 2011 Castelló Masters and the 2011 and 2017 Andalucía Valderrama Masters

- The third victory by a Spanish player on the 2018 Race to Dubai, after Jon Rahm (Open de España) and Adrian Otaegui (Belgian Knockout). The Spanish team of Pedro Oriol and Scott Fernandez also won the men’s event at the European Golf Team Championship, but that tournament was not part of the Race to Dubai 

- This victory means all four editions of the Andalucía Valderrama Masters have been won by Major winners - Graeme McDowell (2010) and Sergio Garcia (2011, 2017 and 2018) 

- Garcia becomes the first man to win the same tournament three editions in a row in Europe since Colin Montgomerie won the BMW PGA Championship between 1998 and 2000. 

- The 184th European Tour victory for a player from Spain 

- His 33rd victory worldwide 

- Extends Garcia’s incredible record at Real Club Valderrama, which now reads T7, T5, T7, T7, 2nd, 2nd, T2, T34, 4th, T10, 1st, 3rd, 1st, 1st   

- This year Garcia became Europe’s all-time leading Ryder Cup points scorer, after the 17.5-10.5 victory over the United States in Paris. In his ninth Ryder Cup appearance, he reached 25.5 points, surpassing Sir Nick Faldo’s previous record of 25 points
