Justin Rose saw his overnight lead cut to one shot as the third round of the Turkish Airlines Open got under way at Regnum Carya Golf & Spa Resort.
The defending champion came into the day two ahead but a level par start over his first three holes allowed fellow Englishman Sam Horsfield, 2016 champion Thorbjørn Olesen and China's Li Haotong to get within one of the lead.
Frenchman Alexander Levy and England's Danny Willett were then two shots back at ten under.
Rose has finished in the top ten at five of his last six European Tour events and would move back to the top of the Official World Golf Ranking should he claim a second Rolex Series victory this week.
The first was proving gettable with Horsfield and Li making birdies and when Dane Olesen joined them from eight feet, the lead was down to one.
In the final group, Willett put his approach even closer and he too moved to 11 under.
Levy holed a huge right-to-lefter up the hill on the second to move himself into double-figures and was joined at ten under by Willett who missed the green at the same hole and failed to get up and down.
Qualifying School winner Horsfield then holed an eight-footer on the fourth and joined Olesen just a single shot off the lead, with playing partner Li following him in.
Ireland's Paul Dunne was two under through six holes to sit at nine under.
