    First full season on the European Seniors Tour saw him play in the majority of tournaments and he hit his best form in the Irvine Whitlock Jersey Seniors Classic where he recorded his only top ten of the year on his way to finishing 45th on the Order of Merit, giving him Category 9 Membership for the 2005 season. The former Kenyan and Zambian Open champion made his European Seniors Tour debut when he finished tied 44th in front of his own Scottish fans at Turnberry in the 2003 Senior British Open, presented by MasterCard. Was a regular competitor on the Tartan Tour for a number of years and also represented Great Britain and Ireland in two PGA Cup Matches in 1992 and 1994. On the second of those occasions he teamed up with Russell Weir to win two foursomes matches and then defeated Ron MacDougal in the singles. Won the Scottish Assistants Championship in 1972, 1975 and 1976 and also owns the service station in his home town of Eyemouth in the Scottish Borders.
