European Senior Tour champion Masahiro Kuramoto is five shots off the pace heading into the final round of the FujiFilm Senior Championship on the PGA of Japan Senior Tour.
Kuramoto, who won the Van Lanschot Senior Open last year and the Handa Cup Senior Masters the season before, added a round of 72 to his opening 69 to remain on three under par, five shots adrift of his compatriot Seiki Okuda.
His fellow Senior Tour champion Barry Lane of England is in 14th place on one under par after he matched Kuramoto’s round of 72.
Katsuyoshi Tomori is one shot back in a tie for 15th place after a superb round of 67 on day two, while American Tim Thelen – who will defend his title at next week’s Fubon Senior Open – slipped back to joint 32nd after signing for a 75.
The only other Senior Tour star in action in Japan is Boonchu Ruangkit, who is in tied 37th on three over par.
