Colin Montgomerie secured his first title of the 2017 season as he won the Japan Airlines Championship on the PGA TOUR Champions circuit.
The Scotsman carded a final round five under par 67 to take the title by one stroke from Billy Mayfair and Scott McCarron at Narita Golf Club in Tokyo, Japan.
Montgomerie was one over par on the final day after a bogey on the second hole until he birdied the eighth hole to draw level. He then made four birdies in five holes after the turn and then birdied the 17th to move one shot clear, making par on the last to secure victory.
Fellow European Tour member Jesper Parnevik finished in a share of fifth place
