Former Ryder Cup Captain Colin Montgomerie won his second title of the 2017 season at the SAS Championship.

The 54 year old shared the 36-hole lead with Welshman, and fellow European Senior Tour member, Phillip Price on eight under par before carding a stunning final round 64 to finish 16 under par, three strokes ahead of Doug Garwood and Vijay Singh.

The Scotsman carded just two bogeys during his three rounds, and he finished his final round with five birdies on the back nine.

This is Montgomerie's second victory of the year on the PGA TOUR Champions after winning the Japan Airlines Championship in September.

Price finished in a share of 11th place with Bernhard Langer on seven under par, and John Daly finished a shot further back on six under tied for 20th.

Esteban Toledo carded a three under par final round to finish four under in a share of 30th and Paul Broadhurst finished on three under par, tied for 34th.
