European Challenge Tour statement on the Indoor Golf Group Challenge

Due to inclement weather in the Helsingborg area, the Indoor Golf Group Challenge has been reduced to a 54-hole tournament.

Allerum rain

Heavy rainfall, which began on Friday evening and continued throughout Saturday, rendered areas of Allerum Golfklubb unplayable due to standing water on both the fairways and greens.

The third round, which began on Saturday morning, will now be completed on Sunday August 28 and the winner of the tournament decided after 54 holes.

Mats Lanner, Tournament Director of the Indoor Golf Group Challenge, said: “We have taken the decision to reduce the tournament to 54 holes due to the continued heavy rainfall both overnight and throughout Saturday. Despite the valiant efforts of the greens staff, there was no prospect of resuming play at any point during the day.”

The final round of the Indoor Golf Group Challenge will resume on Sunday at 9:00am local time.
